Reading/WritingStudents will participate in the workshop model for reading and writing. Each day will begin with a mini-lesson that focuses on a specific skill or strategy. The students will then have independent work time to practice that skill or strategy. In addition students will be conferencing with me or working in strategy groups designed to meet their individual needs.

MathOur goal is to create a math-rich environment that provides students with multiple opportunities to explore math and develop a solid understanding of number sense and math concepts. We currently use Bridges as main resource as well as Number Talks to help guide our students towards becoming wonderful mathematicians.

Science/SSStudents will learn about the scientific process and various topics through inquiry and hands on-experiences. In Social Studies students will learn about themselves, others and the world around them. Students will use multiple resources in their learning, including multiple field trips.
